Walnut Cafe Covid-19 Announcement:

We have been dealing with the “ethical” and “morale” decision to continue to serve the Boulder Community during this crisis. With the spread of COVID-19, we want to do what’s right to protect our crew, guest, and community. All research points to social distancing as being the key to controlling the spread of the virus, and now is the time, we are taking this advice seriously.

Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th, we are closing all our restaurants until we are certain that it’s safe to gather again. This closure will last a minimum of 30 days, and will be adjusted upward, if needed. We will keep our customers updated via social media.

This decision doesn’t come without its sacrifices. It’s not going to be easy, and we know we will get through this. While we are still waiting to see what Federal and State support will be provided, we are diligently strategizing how to maximize our ability to take care of our employees as best we can for as long as we can.

Many customers are asking “How can I help?” This is why.

We love our community — we are here for you and you are here for us. We need to get our arms around closing and will be reaching out and asking for your help.

Our hearts go out to everyone who is experiencing sickness, job loss or anxiety during these rapidly evolving and uncertain times. Keep Kindness as your Super Power.

We Love You… Dana D, Xanthe & the ENTIRE Walnut Family
